Scott Creek Conservation Park – one of the most valuable, biodiverse areas in the Mt Lofty Ranges – was devastated by a thoughtless act of arson in January 2021. The fire razed 500 hectares of the Park, killing native animals, ravaging the native vegetation and severely impacting on the local community.
This report is packed full of photos, information and maps showing the immediate after-effects of the fire and how the Park has bounced back. A few years on, the native vegetation has regenerated and wildlife has returned, with the hard work of Friends of Scott Creek Conservation Park, the local community and funding from generous supporters and sponsors.
This work documenting how the Park has regenerated, is told though the expert eyes of Peter Watton, who has worked and volunteered in native vegetation restoration, and bush regeneration in particular, for more than 25 years, including in Scott Creek CP.

Scott Creek history book – from Settlement to Conservation
This publication is back by popular demand. It provides a history of the Scott Creek Conservation Park area, written by historian Marie Steiner.

Scott Creek Conservation Park – A South Australian Biodiversity Hotspot
This book celebrates our first 25 years of caring for the Park and showcases local birds, flora, insects, fungi, animals etc. Over 50 pages with photos and illustrations.

This is a colourful and handy brochure that contains a full list of the common and less common birds that have been observed in the Park. The Mt Lofty Ranges conservation status is also provided.
